Destruct-O-Match II’s point is fairly simple. Destruct. Destroy all the boulders you need to in the time you have, or you lose. Controls are simple, just use the mouse. Click once on a set of one or more bricks to select it, and click again to destroy them. When boulders are destroyed, new ones fall into place.
There are different modes you can play in, and each is different. You can play in:
Normal Mode: Combine two or more boulders of the same color to remove them. Just get the amount of points in the lower right corner to get to the next level.
Extreme Mode: You’te timed! If the boulders reach the top of the screen, you lose! But to help you out, you only need to click once to remove boulders.
Zen Mode: Just to relax. No points are awarded, and there are no limits to how long you can play. If you’re mad because you just lost on Extreme mode, try a round or two of this.
When playing, you’ll also see a few special blocks come up that do a few different things:
Overkill: Destroys all blocks of the same color
Fill: Adds a new random row of blocks (use this if you’re low and running out but haven’t got the required score!)
Multiplier: Gives you three times the normal amount of points from the combination destroyed
Fire: Destroys all adjacent boulders, including the ones that touch the corners. (8 total) This is the only way you can destroy indestructible block.
Morph: If not destroyed within a certain time becomes indestructable, only to be destroyed by a fire block.
Indestructible: Can only be destroyed with a fire block
Destruct-O-Match II has some cool cheat codes as well! Check these out:
A quick fix: Type destroyboulders during gameplay to destroy all boulders of a random color. Even bonus blocks will disappear! (once per game)
Play the original: When on the mode selection screen, type boohooiwantheoldgameback and you’ll be able to play Destruct-O-Match I and even send your score!
