Neggs
Submitted by Miss Tess

You’ve probably heard about Neggs before, right? And, because you’re so smart, I bet you figured out that Negg is just the word ‘egg’ with an N on the front. Well, this little article will tell you all about the magical world of Neggs, so buckle your seatbelt and get ready for some fun!
First of all, you’re probably wondering where Neggs come from. Well, most of them come from the Negg Faerie - more on that later. You can also get Neggs from Smuggler’s Cove, the Cooking Pot, Taelia’s Quests, and the Food Shop.
Now, to get a Negg from the Negg Faerie, you must visit the Neggery. You can get there by clicking Explore (on the sidebar), Terror Mountain, and then Ice Caves. The Neggery is the big green spotted building with wings (yeah, I know, weird). So now that you’re at the Neggery, you want to know how to get a Negg. Simple. You need Negg tokens!
To get Negg tokens, you must give the Negg Faerie “ordinary, boring Neggs”, as she calls them. That would be the Neggs that you can buy anywhere other than the Neggery. Such as, the Negg, Purple Negg, Green Negg, Pink Negg and others. Giving these to the faerie will result in you gaining a few Negg tokens! Yay!
The Neggs you can obtain from the Negg Faerie range from scary to pretty to cute; she has something for everyone!

Neggs can do all sorts of things. Some will increase the intelligence of your pets, some will make your pet happier, and some even give you items! On the other hand, some, like the Melted Chocolate Negg, will do nothing but make your pet just a bit fuller.
And now, we’ll have a look at everything related to neggs…
Sadly, there are only two Negg avatars.

The first you can obtain by feeding your pet a speckled food item. If you are lucky enough to have a Grarrl or Skeith, you can feed them a Speckled Neopets Party Blower. If you don’t have a Grarrl or Skeith you can buy a Speckled Hot Dog, which should only cost you about 2k. You can get the second avatar by scoring 1,250+ in Meerca Chase II OR 750+ in the original Meerca Chase. I got the avatar by playing Meerca Chase II on the Super Extra Hyper Gravity mode. That’s a secret “mode” you can get to by typing superextrahypergravitymode on the main page of Meerca Chase II; what you see when you’re just starting the game. There are two games about Neggs.
If you like, you can even read about the Negg Faerie in her Neopedia entry.
There are quite a few items that have the word Negg in their names. I won’t list them all, but here are some of my personal favorites.

I think Neggs are pretty cool things. Hopefully this guide has helped you come to appreciate them more!

You can buy neggs from the shops in Shop Wizard, for about 8000np. There is only one way to get tokens, and thats to sell them at the Neggery, in Ice Caves on Terror Mountain.
Hey…
I was wondering..
What happenes if you feed ur neopet a speckled negg?
Will it just be eaten as food, or will something else happen?
I don’t have a clue.
