Lost Desert Mysteries

Submitted by tyscipio

Your family of lost desert painted Eyries is going to the lost desert for a family vacation.  You are flying to the lost desert when you get blown off course into Qasala, and now it is time to try and find your family.  It looks like your going to need to do some exploring.

You land in the fountain, and start looking around.  You head into a bookshop nearby.  It is called “Words of Antiquity”.  You look around and buy a book, and read it.  You feel slightly smarter.  You talk to the clerk and ask him if he has seen your family, he quickly replies no.  Something is strange about him but you can not figure out what.  You move along.

You next see a weapons shop.  You soon find a good weapon and equip it to your self.  You walk up to the clerk and haggle quite a bit.  You get the item 30k lower than you should have which is very lucky.  The clerk looks at you strangely, and then quickly looks away.

You soon see a food shop and end up stealing some food.  The clerk is sleeping right in front of you.  He opens an eye lid and notices you stealing his food.  You notice him get up, and stare right at you.  You find it quite scary, and run.  He sits back down, and goes back to sleep.  It’s odd that he didn’t get mad.

You find yourself walking right into a background area, Mystical Surroundings.  You find it nifty and ask the keeper how much for a red one.  300NP pure.  You refuse, and find yourself on your face in front of the shop.  You see strange things happening around you and you decide to leave.  Things are getting very fishy.

You decide to walk over and play Tug o War.  You end up losing to a strange, mysterious Jetsam.  You fall into the river until you get to the game swarm.  You hop into a tank, and there’s a heroic Wocky fighting monstrous bugs.  She tells you to grab a side and shoot.  After getting bitten several times you go up and find a small tree to find a place to sleep.

You make a fire, and move closer to the tree as you start to hear some strange noises.  You cuddle up to your Baabaa, and fall asleep soundly.  You wake up in an entirely different place.  You look up and a strange ghostly face is staring at you.  He then says.  Young Neopet, I grant you 1 level of strength.  You walk away, and your feet burn on the sand.

You see a strange person flipping some cards.  He asks you if you want to play a game of luck and great rewards.  You play for only 50np.  You hop into the game and play for 4 hours.  You win 400k. You got very good, and got a lot of money.

You see a large building that says enter if you dare.  You are intrigued and enter.  You have been bit by a giant Hissi ghost! Strange something would be so protected.  You forget about it and leave.

You are now in Sakhment, the wealthy city of the lost desert.  You wander into a petpet shop and you buy an Anubis.  Everyone here looks a lot friendlier.  The Anubis is really cute so you equip it to your self along with your Baabaa.

You head into a food shop and buy a baggus.  You eat it, and find that it is incredibly delicious.  A lonely Elephante leads you directly to Sakhmet Solitaire, and challenges you to a game.  You play and then move on with you journey.

You decide to skip over the pottery shop because you can’t carry it, and you move on to drawing a royal Aisha at the coloring pages.

You decide to do the two dailies here, the fruit machine; you get 10k and a fire muffing. Then you go to the Kiosk and get a baggus bonanza.  You feel satisfied with what you’ve made and move along.

You wander into Sutek’s Scrolls and buy another book, and read it to yourself.  The shop keeper looks strangely like the one in Qasalan.  You move along, not noticed.  Or so you thought.

You go next door and buy some armor.  You now look like a classic lost-desertian.
The shop keeper here looked rather unfriendly also.

You pass over a healing shop, and briefly look inside.  You buy some medicine just incase.  You love how it smells.

You play two more games: Geos, and Scarab 21.  You feel tired and go to sleep.  You wake up the next morning sleeping on some hay.  You walk up to the palace.

You talk to the king, and tell him you have searched the whole lost desert for your family but nothing.  He tells you your family has been taken captive by the shopkeepers of Qasalan.  You then feel angry.  Music surrounds you and you find yourself striking dramatic poses.

You go over to Qasalan in a boat and find your family in the backgrounds shop, tied up to a pole.  It is time for a fight.  All of the shop keepers looked a lot stronger, and had good weapons.  You get out your lost desert things, and start fighting.

First the bookkeeper attacked.  I batted him out of the way and he was gone.  Then it was the food seller.  I burrowed, and he fell flat on his face, he was done also.  Next is the weapon seller.  He shoots and hits you several times but you back him into a corner and knock him unconscious Last, the Mystical Surroundings keeper.  He takes out a tazer type weapon and shoots you.  You drop hard on the ground.  Your incredibly angry, and end up taking him out with a bag of money.

Your family thanks you.  The vacation goes on like it would have.  They do not know you have already seen everything *wink* *wink*
