My Personal Restocking Tips

Submitted by tyscipio

These are tips that help me, but everyone has their own methods.

Buy a shop
This is very cheap, and lets you hold 5 items.  Keep buying upgrades until you can hold about 30 items.  This should only cost 5k.  Your on your way already!

Do I need money?
Yes, it is suggested you have at least 20k so you can buy items that you would like.  This will go really fast.  But note you will not need more, because youll be able to buy at least two things at max price.

Should I put music in my shop?
No, music not only bugs people, but it also makes it take a lot longer to load.  If people have other music playing it can be really bad.

Pricing
Never price over 100 nps under the next lowest price, as this will make the items worth go way down, therefore making not as good to restock.  So heads up!

Do I need a fast computer?
Usually yes.  You can have a slow computer, and restock, but you will have to work a little more efficiently.  So do not give up on it if your computers slow!

Do I need practice?
Yes, but this will take several days.  Youll start to feel better about using your keys.

Top numbers or right?
Never ever use the top set of numbers when haggling as it takes longer, and every second counts.

Scroll?
Try scrolling down while typing the numbers too make yourself much more efficient.  This could mean getting an item!

Haggling
How you haggle is try not to price exact, because normally it will just slow you down.  If you have a price such as 1,225.  You wouldnt type that out. Instead you would type 1222, or also 1255.  Or something like that.  Make it as quik as possible.  Those few Nps arent going to matter much.

Shop wizard
Use the shop wizard to check your items worth.  Instead of hitting containing my phrase, hit identical to my phrase, otherwise it will come up with everything with that word in it.  Also, dont just look at the first page.  refresh several times, and price your item a few nps above or below the lowest price.

Never read what the pet is when haggling.
Right when you see it , click it!

What’s the estimated value?
When you click on an item, it will show the estimated value.  This is always off.  This is the prices of all the original items.  They do not think about what avatars will be achieved from this item, if the advent calender, tarla, or the games master have given it out before.

Sniping
Sniping is not restocking.  Sniping is when you buy every item is a certain area, and you sell them for a way higher price.  Or just a little higher price. It depends on the item.  There is also auction sniping where you wait until the last like 5 seconds of an auction and then you bid only slightly higher, you can get lab pieces, and paintbrushes cheap this way.  Also there is trading post sniping.  People can get desperate on the trading post, and you can buy lab pieces, and stuff for really cheap.  So look out for that too!

How many windows?
Open 2 to 3 windows and refresh them both.

Stock ban
If you refresh a shop too much youll get stock banned, where every neopian shop goes blank.  You wont see anything.  A good way to tell if you have this is to go to the pharmacy.

Peak hours
Try not to restock from 12 noon nst till 7pm nst.  It will be nearly imposible to get anything, and it will be very slow.

Food shop
Try and buy any neggs, picnic hampers, and items above 10k.
Try not to buy any other items, or you might get ripped off.

Toy shop
Try and restock faeie doll, faerie snow globes, and any items over 10k.  This is a great way to make money.

Book shop
Almost every book will give you money. Work towards items that are 2.5k and over,

The pharmacy
Almost every item here is profitable. Try to buy magic goop, toungue shrinkers, medicinal soaps, hoochie coochie tablets, herbal scrambled eggs, neck brace, extra thick goggles, tasty pie, grumble be gone tablets, sporkle syrup,  cactipus cream, mushroom ointment, spyder juice elixer,  and honey blossom extract.

Chocolate factory
Buy anything over 10k

Bakery
Buy anything over 10k

Snow food shop
Buy all magical chia pops, and all items over 10k.

Desert bookshop
Any book, or scroll over 10k.

Meridell food shop
Buy all Draik eggs, and all items over 10k.

Stamp shop
Buy stamps over 5k

Coin shop
Buy everything, because everything will get you profit.

Booktastic books
Buy every item over 2.5k.

There are several other good shops to restock from.  Just look around.  These are my favorites.
